May 03, 2007: Debby whelped 4 puppies, one male and 3 females by VA1 Karat's Ulko. Debby took to motherhood like an old pro, she wasn't disagreeable and took her care of her responsibilities with aplomb. The litter was very uniform and active. I think the mating with Ulko will be a very good blend of the pedigrees and match up of the dogs. As can be seen on the "D" Litter page the line breeding wasn't very close (5-5) and was all on three VA dogs of which two were German Siegers. These will be available about July 1st.
March 16-18, 2007: The S.E. Regional Show and Breed Survey was judged by SV Judge and Kormeister Helmut Konig and hosted by the Carolina GSD Club in Statesville, N.C. again this year. As usual, it had a big turn out for a well run event. On Friday Nikki did her AD in wet conditions and cold wind out of the north.On Saturday, Nikki and Xorro both did their performance test with pronounced results for her breed survey and his lifetime breed survey. On Saturday afternoon, Rikki showed in the 6-9 puppy class of 13, she received VP4.; On Sunday, Fox was exhibited in the Veterans class and still showed he know how to move around the ring. Nikki showed in the Working female class. A very good class of 18 bitches which was won by my Rikki's mother. Nikki finished in the middle of the pack, once again hindered by being in heat and out of coat, but her fast gait is great. Xorro was shown in the Working male class of 18 which include last year's Sieger and three other VA dogs, a very strong field. Xorro received V5. My main objective of passing the Breed Survey was done with flying colors, making the long drive well worth it. A good time was had by all.
February 17, 2007: The Hundesport Club of Florida Trial found some unusual conditions for Florida, the tracking started out with frost all over the ground, something hard to prepare for in Florida. The temperature was great for the dogs. Nikki received her SchH1 title under SV Judge Harald Hohmann.
